I serve as Regional Director of the Austin Chapter of Education First, a volunteer-led organization that provides college scholarships to students attending high schools with historically low percentages of college applicants. While scholarship recipients are in college, we provide professional coaching to ensure they stay on track to graduate.
WHY THIS IS IMPORTANT: On average, an individual with a degree can earn over a million dollars more in a lifetime than someone with just a high school diploma. By providing scholarships and a college mentor through Education First, I want to ensure next year’s recipients have the same opportunity to succeed.
