Give Low-Income Students a Real Chance at a College Education!

Join me in supporting real change. Just a small donation will go a long way to helping Education First give scholarships and college coaching to low-income students. These students have already overcome so many challenges, and they need our help to realize their dream of a college education.

Last year, we were able to provide 1 $3,000 scholarship and 1 $1,000 scholarship to 2 local high school students (pulling from Cleveland High School, Rainier Beach High School, and Chief Sealth High School), as well as provide scholarships in 7 other regions across the United States. The types of students that we choose normally wouldn't have the means or ability to pay for college. From 1st generation immigrants, medical issues for themselves or others in their immediate family, financial and education hardships, these students have gone through a lot to apply and get accepted to college. Our organization hopes to be that additional support they need to make it to the next level.

In addition to the scholarship, the scholars are entitled to college coaches once they are in college to help ensure that they are on track during their college experience. One year of this college coaching for one student is roughly $500. Perhaps your donation can help ensure that our scholars continue their education and further their academic career.

Working in these schools first hand through another non-profit, I have seen first hand the struggles and challenges that the students face. It is amazing to see them overcome such odds, AND be able to go to college in spite of everything stacked against them. I hope that you are able to contribute, whether it be a little bit or a lot, to this great cause.
