Dear prospective donor,
I am fundrasing to provide college scholarships to students, like Dilan Robles, who have overcome significant adversity in pursuit of an education. Despite housing and financial instability while attending Thomas Jefferson High School in south L.A., Dilan was determined to pursue his dream of becoming a civil engineer. He currently attends the University of California, Davis, and will be the first in his family to earn a college degree.
I, like Dilan Robles, was awarded the Education First scholarship in 2007. The $6,500 award helped me afford tuition costs at UCLA. I now hold a master's degree in school psychology and work for public schools in south Los Angeles. It is an honor to serve on the Board of Education First, a nonprofit organization that awards college scholarships to students attending high schools with historically low percentages of college applicants.
I would appeciate a donation for our 2021 scholarship cycle. Your donation will help ensure that we continue to award scholarships to students in need.
